Apocalypse Journal

In March 2020 the world fell apart. We should have known by January 42d of that fateful year that something was horribly wrong, but naively we went about eating, drinking, merrymaking. You all remember it. Even before crash January just refused to end. We all joked about it. Nervously we looked around with an uneasy feeling that something terribly bad was about to happen, but pretended everything was Ok. 

Then came the virus and social distancing. Finally solitary confinement and house arrest, isolation.

How do you stay sane when you’re an extra on the set of a real life ‘B’ sci fi melodrama reality show?

Well, you don’t. If you already started the year off with a relatively loose grip on reality, real reality you let go embrace the chaos and ride it out. 

I would be remiss if I didn’t say thank you to the many friends who have helped me get through the challenges. Some will say they aren’t real and that I have no friends, that they are just figments of my fragile imagination.

Those people are cruel…
